In the morning, we start the tour in Haputale, meeting at the Haputale Railway Station. From there, we transfer by tuk-tuk or minivan to the starting point of the trek.
The walk begins with a peaceful forest trail through the Thangamale Bird Sanctuary, an ideal place for birdwatching and enjoying the therapeutic benefits of nature. The trek passes through a variety of landscapes rarely seen by ordinary tourists, including pine forest, eucalyptus forest, natural forest, rainforest, and scenic tea plantations of the beautiful Hill Country.

If you know Sri Lanka, you may already be familiar with the famous Adam’s Peak, but fewer people know about Little Adam’s Peak—also called Mini or Small Adam’s Peak—located in Ella. Rising to 1,141 meters above sea level, this striking peak gets its name from its resemblance to the iconic Adam’s Peak.
The hike to the summit takes about two hours round trip and rewards you with breathtaking panoramic views, especially in the morning. After spending time at the top, we descend and continue with a 40-minute cross-country walk through light forest to reach the famous Nine Arches Bridge.
Built entirely of stone, brick, and cement during the British era, the Nine Arches Bridge is an impressive viaduct over 300 feet long and around 100 feet high. You can walk along the railway line, learn about its history from your guide, and take unforgettable photographs.
The hike continues along the railway track and through tea plantations to Demodara Railway Station, a unique colonial-era station known for its famous looped railway design, where the track passes beneath the station through a tunnel.
